YouTube is their playground, but maybe we should rename it VroomTube. You get the drift, awe yeah they do drifting as well. Any chance they get to be reckless, they take the bull by the horns, especially Vehicle Virgins’ Parker Nirenstein in his snot-green twin-turbo Lambo.
Vote for Your Favorite Supercar YouTuber…
Shmee150 – Tim Burton
Who and what is Shmee150? Representing England, it’s the personal brand of supercar enthusiast, driver and reviewer Tim Burton. Previously working in the family shop and also as a ski instructor in New Zealand, Tim made his first car video in 2010. Since then his rankings, propelled by intelligently articulated reviews have gone from strength to strength. His perch atop the YouTube tree is stronger than a Pagani CarboTanium chassis. So, yeah, he’s got some budgie cage.
His opening line: “His Guys, I’m Shmee!” Is delivered in a posh, but friendly voice that puts you at ease. There’s not a jot of arrogance, just a smile that would make an ogre cheerful. His manner is infectious.
Tim comes across as a genuinely nice person. You don’t get 471,757,198 views without being accepted by all-corners of the Internet. What does Tim put his success down to? His general answer is hard work and dedication will get you to the top. Don’t believe him… how about almost 3500 video uploads with half-a-billion views. Hence the reason I have no hesitation in calling Shmee150 one of the World’s 5 Best Supercar Vloggers. Not much vroom for improvement, then. He’s already honed his editing skills to perfection and long since squeezed out the errors from his supercar game.
With is personal wealth growing from shrewd investments of the past and his current YouTube income, Tim is lucky enough to own four supercars. His band of metal brothers is constantly changing. It usually has at least one or two Porsches and McLaren’s, plus a Mercedes or Ferrari. He’s even got a Ford GT on order. Wowzers. That is an upgrade from his Ford Focus RS!
Tim Loves his Kermit Green Porsche 911 GT3
Kermit green Porshce 911.2 GT3 is Tim’s latest pride and joy that he has been privileged to visit at the Porsche factory in Zuffenhausen, Stuttgart. It’s not just his own cars that Shmee checks out, but he’s often invited by Porsche to drive their latest press cars or one-off prototype or historic models that they like to show off now and then.
He’s Also an Advertisers Dream
YouTubers like Tim make for incredible advertising value for manufacturers such as Porsche. They know that his huge subscriber base, all highly targeted individuals is a marketer’s dream come true. It goes without saying that a video paints a better picture than a magazine advert that gets thrown out with the chip wrappers. Social Media’s enduring appeal makes paper adverts look like a thing of the past.
With the supercar spotting scene growing more intense by the day, we expect to see Tim being more creative with his videos and go above and beyond the competition. He’s recently been to the Nurburgring and spanked the engine in his 911 GT3, but such is his dedication that he’s now got a base in Germany and even has his car registered there. That’s like Cristiano Ronaldo staying back to do extra training. Well it’s nothing like that, but it is what you have to do to stay on top of your game. High five, Shmee!
Vehicle Virgins – Parker Nirenstein
23-year-old Parker Nirenstein started writing car reviews in 2011 before deciding to start his Vehicle Virgins YouTube Channel instead. His original mission was to educate first-time buyers so they could make an informed purchase when buying a new car. Since then, however, Parker has moved up the motoring food chain and is now the Tyrannosaurus Rex of car knowledge and rightly earning his place on the list of World’s 5 Best Supercar Vloggers.
He won’t bite into anything less than a sports car. Ordinarily his comfort zone is filming supercars, but his contact base is now so strong that he often treads with a gigantic dinosaur stride into the uncharted red-shifting speed zone of the hypercar buyer, driver and owner. Though up to now he’s just been the driver, which is fine by us. Heck, we haven’t even been the driver.
With plenty of wealthy mates to call upon, he’s been fortunate enough to drive his dream car, which is – like many other car guys – a Koenigsegg. Good choice, Parker. We always knew, you knew, what was what. The One:1 that’s the one, eh? CvK would be proud of us all if he could hear this convo. Parker’s personal website is likegravity.com. It’s not a patch on his YouTube Channel, but it’s enough for Parker stalkers to get a latch onto his whereabouts.
How Parker Looked a Couple of Years Ago…
How does 1.3 million subscribers grab you? Not bad, eh? What about over 1000 videos and 340,066,818 total views. Yep, this guy is a grafter. There’s hope to his pickaxe technique yet, all he has to do is put the same amount of hours into his laboring as he has into his video editing. Only a matter of time.
Has Parker Got a Pickaxe to Grind or Something?
One video that didn’t go down too well with the ‘Tubers is the time he tricked his girlfriend into thinking he’d bought her a Lamborghini Aventador. Ouch! That was as shit bag trick, Parker. Not sure if the 11,000 dislikes on the video are down to being clickbaited or because they genuinely feel sorry for the lady? Seen as though YouTube is mainly watched by men, I’d say it’s the former. Everyone hates clickbait. Car guys are no different.
TheStradman – James Neese
He’s from Salt Lake City, Utah and he drives a Lamborghini, Audi R8 and a Jeep 4-wheel-drive thingy. Don’t know the exact model, but no apologies because this is all about supercars and not superjeeps. Mr Stradman is well-known for his baller hats and as a Top 5 Best Supercar Vlogger we can emphasize his stylin’ like a Stradivarious violin. Mandem’s got class.
James’s dream car is a 2004 Ferrari Challenge Stradale, hence the screen name “Strad”man. Being a Ferrari lover, you guessed it, his personal drive is a Lamborghini. That’s fine by us because who wouldn’t own a Lambo if you love cars? His first YouTube video was a classic Ferrari Dino 246 GTS that was a sensational video. More recently, however, his Lamborghini Veneno video has hit over 6 million views. The Veneno is one of the wildest cars from the wildest car company around. It’s utterly bonkers and car people love it.
The World’s 5 Best Supercar Vloggers – Utah Addition
Straders own a 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo in Arancio Borealise, which is orange to you and I, but it’s currently rocking a camo wrap, which includes his beloved ski box. Luckily for James his 4-wheel drive Lambo allows him to play in the snow. We doubt he’d try this in his wish list Ferrari Challenge when he gets his paws on one.
On another occasion, when James walked into his bosses office and demanded a pay rise, he ended up being jobless and even worse – homeless for 58 days. Yikes. Maybe it was a crackpot idea going from $17 dollars an hour to ZERO dollars an hour. All I can say, because I’m an idiot also, is RESPECT!
James is a Really ‘Neese’ Guy!
We have to go by our instincts and morals. We’re not slaves and I admire anyone who has the balls to do what they desire, even if it isn’t the wisest move. These scenarios always teach us things that school never can. They toughen us up and help us for the future.
Like any Internet entrepreneur, Mr Neese had a nice clothing collection for you to spend your petrol money on. For baseball cap and T-shirt lovers you can check it out in all its Shopify glory at TheStradman.
Being an ex-accountant TheStradman is a whizz with figures, hence he loves to drill down the ownership figures from owning his Lamborghini. Not certain if this is a pleasure or a pain when he sees how much juice the old girl drinks?
Tavarish – Freddy Hernandez
Freddy Hernandez, better known by his YouTube name as Tavarish, is relatively new to the video-diary game. With nearly 364,300 subscribers, Freddy is a junior supercar vlogger compared to his illustrious rivals. Putting that into perspective, however, with only 261 videos at the time of writing, 43,641,370 views is nothing short of sensational.
Tavarish hooks the viewer with his ‘regular guy’ approach. He’s similar to Hoovies Garage in that respect. Ordinary car mad dudes with an eye for a bargain and the knowledge to sling a spanner. This combined with intriguing titles such as ‘I Just Bought The Cheapest Lamborghini in The Country’ are sure-fire winners when the counter starts clicking.
Every car loving brother in the world would love to own a Lambo, but the price is out of most people’s reach, even the cheapest one in the country is beyond the racing gloves of most of us. Tavarish somehow makes people feel that dream is a possibility. You can do the work for free in your own garage. Heck, Tavarish does so why can’t you? He’s the nearest car world has to a Learn How to Bake show… only with Mobil One instead of vegetable oil.
The World’s 5 Best Supercar Vloggers – Russian Connection
Cutting his teeth in Internet forums, Freddy quickly learned the ropes and combined with his natural mechanical prowess, he made the leap from writing for fun to working for Jalopnik, a subsidiary of Gawker. More recently, Freddy has started his own Internet show called Wrench Every Day Podcast, where he chats engines with his good friend Andrew Howell.
Hailing from the old Soviet Union
Tavarish was born in 1987 in Novomoskosk, Russia, which was then part of the Soviet Union. In 1990 the Hernandez family moved from the USSR to New Jersey in right before the fall of the Soviet Union.
The pseudonym Tavarish is a screen name Freddy has used since the age of 12. He picked the name because Tavarish means friend or comrade in the Russian language.
The cars Freddy buys are usually the cheapest he can find throughout the county. He then spends time on them mechanically, going well past the usual servicing requirements. He always covers his work with a video for his followers; always full of humor, knowledge and tips for anyone wishing to do the same, it is easy to see why his YouTube channel is growing quickly.
If You Like Bargains, Tavarish is Your Boy!
There are plenty of people I could have put on this list instead of Tavarish, but his overall appeal, in my opinion, outweighs other more established petrol heads that would also have sat well on the list of World’s 5 Best Supercar Vloggers. Do yourself a favour and check him out – you’re welcome to throw eggs at me if I’m lying about how good he is. You can tell I’m a fanboy.
Just like TheStradman, Freddy has his own merchandise that you might warm to. His favorite saying is “I’m The Warranty.” This is plastered like a window sticker across his entire range of clothing. Not your thing? How about #WrenchEveryDay?
Tavarish has stated that the profits from his T-shirt sales will go to charity, which shows that he’s as genuine in real life as he is in his videos.
Salomondrin – Alejandro Salomon
To steal Salomondrin’s catchphrase: “What’s up you sexy mofos?” I repeat what’s up, petrol heads? Anyhow, my bad intro aside, let me tell you a little more about the legend that is Salomondrin. He’s the handsome Mexican from Los Angeles, if I can say that as a car guy without sounding gay? This dude sure knows his cars and his passion rubs off on the viewer. Have a look on his website and you’ll see what I mean.
Not only does he have a car collection to die for, it changes quicker than his manual gear shifts. Porsche must have a direct route to his pockets, he’s had that many of their top-of-the-line motors. We applaud him, being Porsche fans ourselves.
Wealthy people will always have their detractors, but we have nothing but praise for this car-loving guy with a big personality. He’s worked hard to get where he is today. Born in Mexico City in 1984, Alejandro moved to the US aged 19. His entrepreneurial spirit has taken him from all aspects of film making, including acting, he made the bulk of his fortune in the property game.
From Acting to Creating Hyper 5
Now Salomondrin does what he loves, being creative every day making motoring videos with his friends. Not just any car videos, but driving supercars and hypercars. This guy has owned such icons as the Pagani Huayra and Porsche 918. Dreams can come true if you work hard enough! He’s produced famous YouTube videos like the insanely popular Hyper 5. Salomondrin tests the world’s top hypercars from the legendary Bugatti to the Holy Trinity of 918, LaFerrari and McLaren P1.
Let’s Talk About Cars Yo!
Let’s do the figures, in a relatively short space of time, Alejandro has accumulated 198,744,966 total views out of 536 video uploads. Good going by anyone’s standards. Salomondrin does his daily car vlogs with his best friends, Farghini and Pedro, who does the editing side of things. All good YouTubers need an even better editor!
Together the trio make interesting viewing. Like a modern Top Gear, only they actually smoke gear. Yep they like a joint of weed in the HotBox. Can’t fault them, really. These three are an awesome addition to the World’s 5 Best Supercar Vloggers.
One of Salomondrin’s more memorable videos was when he took porn star August Ames for a blast in his Huayra to do a stiffness test. Obviously her boobs were the bounceometer. Strangely, I can’t fathom out why the video hasn’t garnered more views? Usually this type of thing has car guys going wild. She’s certainly giggling plenty.
Definitely the World’s Best Mexican Car Guy!
Another one of Alejandro’s works of art is LTACY, which stands for Let’s Talk About Cars Yo. He has put out some memorable content under this banner. Similar to the other chaps, he’s done the podcast tick list, which are good listening, but a bit boring if you’re an impatient type of guy like me. Some of these are under the LTACY banner, but there are also shorter videos under the same name.
Being the funny mo fo that he is, Salomondrin gives away P.NOS points. What the heck penis and nitrous oxide have got to do with one another, your guess is as good or bad as mine. Start collecting them and let me know what you win.
Tragically August Ames Committed Suicide in 2017 – She was Only 23 Years Old
Stunningly beautiful August Ames, real name Mercedes Grabowski, was a well-known adult movie star. She’d featured in over 270 X-rated flicks and had been labelled a homophobe for her views on working with gay or bisexual co-stars on set.

Accusations of Being a Homophobe
The 23-year-old was responding to her previous Twitter comments about looking out for her own health by not sleeping with gay men. “NOT homophobic. Most girls don’t shoot with guys who have shot gay porn, for safety.”
“That’s just how it is with me. I’m not putting my body at risk, i don’t know what they do in their private lives.”
Whatever ones views on this issue, it is a seriously shocking tale of how vulnerable young actors are to the pressures of online abuse. Her husband, brother and family are naturally all devastated with their loss, which was confirmed on December 6th, 2017.
